The HG1700 is a high performance tactical-grade Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) designed to meet the needs of a wide range of guidance, control and pointing applications. The HG1700 has been successfully deployed in numerous missile, munitions, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and platform stabilization applications.

Three Ring Laser Gyroscopes (RLG), three Resonating Beam Accelerometers (RBA), and associated electronics are environmentally sealed in a rugged aluminum housing. The HG1700 also employs an external environmental ring isolator to filter undesirable sensor inputs commonly encountered in real world applications.

The HG1700 is offered in numerous performance grades and off the shelf configurations providing flexibility and ease of use.

When compared to other IMU devices in its class, the HG1700 draws almost half the power and requires less volume, all while maintaining exceptional performance in key inertial error metrics. These differentiators translate into an increased payload and increased battery life for our customers while meeting user mission capabilities.
